he ancient language programs below were designed by Kyle Pope for MAC Classic. They are Hypercard based shareware/freeware programs. If you like them, and wish to you can pay the shareware fee. Sanskrit Alphabet 1.0

 To aid the student learning Sanskrit we offer this simple flash card program. Each sign of the alphabet is presented and the student may click on the screen to reveal its value.  The student has the option of going through each of the characters one at time, or in “autoquiz” mode.  This program also has an audio track recorded by a Hindu of the Brahman caste to aid in pronunciation. Hittite Sign List 1.0

 To aid the student learning Hittite we offer this simple flash card program. Created from the signlist published in Beginning Hittite, by Warren H. Held, William R. Schmalstieg & Janet E. Gertz, (Slavica Publishers, Inc.: Columbus, OH, 1987), this program takes the student through all 324 cuneiform signs. The student has the option of going through each of the charaters one at a time, or in “autoquiz” mode. Signs may be presented in sequence or at random. A “preferences” control panel also allows the sudent to isolate groups of fifty at a time. Shareware: $20.00 US. Download: Hittite Cuneiform Signlist 1.0 (only for the Macintosh).
